New Baby Messages To Send To People

STORIES ROBERTO CONTI (part 4)

TRAINING

started the first year of our aviation career in March 1954 after completing two months of tough military training for officers began flying training. We had about thirty Fairchild PT-19 fuselage and wings blue orange. Was a plane of two open cockpits, fixed landing gear and a good acrobat, strong, powerful, low stall speed. They were always very well maintained. The control tower gave us a green light signal or red light off waiting. It was extremely cold in winter fly them five or six thousand feet, so divers wore thick flight inside skin boots, flight gloves and warm hats and big glasses. A real trip to the former.

Last settings with my instructor before my first solo flight in the PT-19.

Authorized to taxi to the runway.

Posing proudly with the wooden propeller of this great machine.

Entering a spin brought a range of sounds, crujimientos apparatus, wind, engine, gravity forces and it was a salad of sensations that had never experienced. A companion every time you flew his plane had to wash the inside and vomiting, according to him, said that it would be replaced eventually, but even in the second year, continue to wash our new T-34s, eventually left the race.
We experienced lieutenants assigned as instructors flying an hour with them and a single, alternating flights with regular classes as a high school physics classes as well, electricity, calculus, aerodynamics, navigation, meteorology and Morse code.
The air base had a runway and grass land of about six or seven hundred meters wide and four kilometers of perimeter helping us with softer landings. Sometimes four or five planes were practicing landings at the same time as it was a very wide track and could leave enough space between a plane and another. Now, after so much time thinking, well-meaning teachers risked their lives daily in these landings. Cadets who did not fly, witnessed the spectacle of all those planes on the runway and bounced some seemed kangaroos. As each plane was on the side of the fuselage a large number, we knew who was who among the "kangaroos" and during lunch or at the casino we amused ourselves mocking landings. One day I saw a plane landing took a big pot on the wheel left, drove over another aircraft was nearby and was to land two lanes to the left. Luckily there was no plane at the track. Another evil person who was landing with instructor decided about five feet up the flaps as the plane dropping a brick on the track. The instructor wanted to kill him, the boy replied: - For who cares if you lieutenant was wearing his seat belt, does not it? - Unfortunately there were serious accidents, one in which the instructor and the cadet never returned to school ... In another a lieutenant of the third year in another T-34 making it through a train he was riding his girlfriend, crashed into a pole ... These accidents made us think like it was important to focus, practice what is taught and not be distracted. The moral of the school down much after that fatal events.
