New Airport Terminal Area Leon has passed the environmental impact study presented in the municipality of Valverde de la Virgen on 20 June. The speed with which the process has taken place is because it is considered that the work does not produce significant alterations to the environment of the area and the willingness of the municipality in the airport, we have to thank all users of the Leon and installation.
Along with this announcement, there have been new data on how it will finally work, and to award the contract next. The same suggest that the terminal will finally 9,600 m² distributed on two floors, since the new parking spaces will 275 passenger buses and 8 , all shelters with a rate of Leon climate. In addition there will be two gardens of 1,050 and 2,950 m². Also known surface platform that will be 30,250 m² (read 275 x 110 m.). The total area to occupy the entire project is 48,150 sqm.
